Meeting point

13:30

It is important you arrive at the meeting point by 13:30 at the latest. From here you'll be directed on to the right place.

Location: Hålekärrsgatan 14, 414 66 Göteborg, there or thereabouts...

The nearest tram stop is Majvallen (see Getting Around), just a hop skip and a jump away. Otherwise you could take a tram to Linneplatsen and take a stroll through the park!

Ceremony

Note: there will be a short walk (500m) from the meeting point to the ceremony spot.

The Aftermath

A bit after 14:00

We'll hang out in the park for a bit, have some drinks and snacks, take some photos, and generally just enjoy life!

A bus will scoop us up at 15:30 and deliver us to Spike Brewery

Party time

16:00 until 01:00(ish)

Location: Spike Brewery

You will receive instruction from your Toastmasters on the bus about what will follow at Spike.

When it comes time to call it a night, there is a tramstop close by (Gamlestaden) which is just a couple of stops from the Central station. Alternatively you could book a taxi (but they can be expensive!).

Dress code

Smart casual - we know you'll look great, but make sure it's comfortable enough to hang in a park and dance the night away.

The ceremony will be held outdoors on grass and you'll need to walk a short distance, so choose your footwear accordingly! And as it is Sweden we need to accept there's a strong chance it will be raining sideways. Check the forecast before and be prepared to pack an umbrella.
